Barlows Guide to Extra-Terrestrials

Got this awesome book from a market over the weekend. Its was first published in 1980 and includes over 90 extra-terrestrials!!!

Each being comes with information and even diagrams, there is even a fold out comparative size chart!!! Such an awesome book!!!

All artwork was done by Wayne D. Barlowe at the young age of 20!!! I am inspired.

The Wizard

I can still remember seeing this advert for the first time, the Powerglove looked so futuristic, the idea was so ambitious for back then, awesome stuff.

I remember watching The Wizard (1989) as a child, the story is about a young kids running away to win a video game championship. In this scene the kids rock up to Lucas house, two children bring him his Powerglove in a steel briefcase, they help strap it on and discreetly plug it in. He then uses it to complete a race 'Rad Racer' coming first, was pretty cool as a child.

Bubble Gum Trading Cards

I recently picked up some awesome trading cards (Gremlins 2, Ghostbusters 2 and Back to the Future 2), these babies were unopened and still had the stick of bubble gum inside!!! I just had to see what the cards looked like, I remember getting some TMNT ones when the movie came out!!! Its pretty easy to get the whole collection online, but I'm more interested in variety, unless its a movie that I really love!!! So if you see anything similar please get in touch!!! Each pack comes with 9 cards, 1 sticker and 1 stick of bubble gum, would make an awesome self promotion piece!!!

What An Eyefull!!!

I just recently heard rumors of a Ghostbusters 3 movie!!! I used to LOVE Ghostbusters as a child!!! Especially the cartoons! It was such a good franchise, I have my fingers crossed that they re-release the original toys! Speaking of awesome original Ghostbusters toys, I was looking through a pile of junk toys at Savers Recycle Superstore and found the Fright Features Peter Venkman, The Real Ghostbusters Figure!!!

When you pull his arm down his eyes, mouth and hair jump!!! See the original 80s advert below (what an eyefull!!!)...

The original packaging, if only I kept the packaging from my old ones!!! I had this same character as a child but his arms wound up and spun around, but he got flushed down the toilet, true story!
